Liz Wheeler and Poppi are our guests: Liz, has a degenerative eye condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa that is slowly taking her sight. Always a reader, this condition took away her high profile career, and changed her relationship with books & stories. Luckily, Vision Australia helped Liz discover Audio books and Guide Dogs sourced Poppi, her guide dog and she has fallen in love with both. Liz in now studying for a Counselling degree. This is the story of Liz’s rediscovery of the joys of reading and acquiring knowledge.
